These bands in black were just what we needed to hold music books in a folder for our performances. They're firm enough while still able to stretch easily around the book.

This product resolved our problems when storing documents in a hot warehouse or for long periods. The X-Treme bands retain their elasticity, don't streatch, melt or break over time. They provide high tensil strength keeping items bound together tightly. ... If that's not enough, they add a nice professional appearance. ( Available in Black and Green ). Less expensive per 1-pound box, but a tad more expensive per band. We're no longer replacing damaged rubber bands with new ones, so the X-Treme is a good value for our needs.

These are EPDM elastics thus they are more durable than standard elastics.
Price from OfficeMax was great for the amount in each box. Been using some for several months [previous order], and they are great! Great stretch and durability! I use them outside and in the house.
My only "complaint" is that I wish OfficeMax carried the 1/4 inch width x 7" length.
Shipment was quick and flawless.
Would shop there again.
